Leadership Development

Recognizing that effective leaders possess a high-degree of self- awareness in order to achieve results with and through the efforts of other people, Gaffney Corporate Strategies works with organizational leaders in assessing and building on individual strengths.

Leadership development is accomplished through one-on-one coaching interactions and/or group sessions. Critical leadership skills are determined and a customized leadership base line is developed for the individual as it relates to the organization.

Formal and informal assessments are administered including but not limited to MBTI, DISC, and 360 feedback establishing current levels of mastery and developmental gaps. An individual leadership plan of action is designed. Current and future leaders are encouraged to examine:

• Their personal values, talents, core competencies and legacy plans.
• The fit between what they have to offer and what the organization needs.
• Any key points to explore that will insure readiness when future opportunity arises.
• Any conversations to have with whom, and when relating to personal goals and future opportunities.
• Important questions to ask for clarification of mutual expectations.
• Kinds of approval, support or input needed.
• Potential barriers that could prevent achievement of goals.
• Experiences with useful formal or informal training and education.
• Exposure to helpful books, trade journals, periodical, audio and video tapes.
• Anything else for the unique situation of the individual and the organization.
